Chief Scientist Emeritus Fabian Yamaguchi and foundational Code Property Graph technology recognized with IEEE Test of Time Award

The Tech Trailblazer Awards has named ShiftLeft as one of the year’s best new companies. As the first independent global awards program dedicated to the enterprise technology startup ecosystem, the Tech Trailblazers Awards recognizes and rewards leading startups, innovations, and individuals from around the globe.

Among the cohort of winners across 15 different categories and three regional awards, ShiftLeft was the first runner-up in the “Developer Trailblazers” category.

“We are honored to be recognized for our tremendous progress in applying property graphs to code security in a truly revolutionary and highly effective way,” said Stuart McClure, CEO of ShiftLeft. “The Tech Trailblazer Awards are a key indicator that we are on the right track, both with disruptive technology and visionary stakeholders. On behalf of the rest of the team, I could not be happier to have been spotlighted for this amazing distinction.”

The Tech Trailblazer Awards were held on December 6, celebrating companies in AI, big data, blockchain, cloud, containers, developer, infosecurity, internet of things, fintech, networking, storage, sustainable tech and telecoms.

Hosted by founder Rose Ross, the awards are open to all private companies under seven years old that are privately funded or VC backed (Series C or earlier). The event recognizes technological and commercial innovation and entrepreneurial excellence. Previous winners have gone on to substantial funding rounds, stock market offerings, and strategic acquisitions.

About Qwiet AI

Qwiet AI empowers developers and AppSec teams to dramatically reduce risk by quickly finding and fixing the vulnerabilities most likely to reach their applications and ignoring reported vulnerabilities that pose little risk. Industry-leading accuracy allows developers to focus on security fixes that matter and improve code velocity while enabling AppSec engineers to shift security left.

A unified code security platform, Qwiet AI scans for attack context across custom code, APIs, OSS, containers, internal microservices, and first-party business logic by combining results of the company’s and Intelligent Software Composition Analysis (SCA). Using its unique graph database that combines code attributes and analyzes actual attack paths based on real application architecture, Qwiet AI then provides detailed guidance on risk remediation within existing development workflows and tooling. Teams that use Qwiet AI ship more secure code, faster. Backed by SYN Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Blackstone, Mayfield, Thomvest Ventures, and SineWave Ventures, Qwiet AI is based in Santa Clara, California. For information, visit: https://qwiet.ai
